Department Services during COVID-19 As of May 1, 2020, the Department of Agriculture & Industries is back to normal work schedules and conducting business in compliance with the Governor’s updated directive. The Governor and Commissioner Pate wish to emphasize that department staff should ensure precaution and reasonable safety standards are maintained during this time.

The Alabama Department of Agriculture & Industries is not issuing travel documents at this time.
As of April 3, 2020, the State of Alabama is not requiring an “essential travel form” being required for travel by food and agriculture workers. However, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has developed an optional Access Letter Template for those that would like develop their own letter.
