Alabama Agricultural Stabilization Program  
In August, Gov. Kay Ivey awarded $26 Million of CARES Act Funds to assist Alabama Agriculture impacted by COVID-19. Funding will be used to establish the Alabama Agricultural Stabilization Program (AASP). No funds may be utilized for salaries, building projects, or capital improvements.

Below is a summary of the active remaining programs:
  1. Livestock Market Direct Payment Program - $500,000  to provide direct payments not to exceed $25,000 to Alabama livestock market permit holders.

  2. Cattle Auction Markets - ON-LINE Application (Online Only) Application period November 17, 2020 - December 1, 2020
    Livestock Cattle Auction Eligibility Requirements

  3. Poultry Processor Reimbursement Program - $1.2 million  to reimburse Alabama poultry processing facilities for purchases of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), disinfectants, workstation dividers, and COVID-19 testing kits to protect their employees from COVID-19. These expenses would be up to a maximum of $40,000.00 per facility.

Deadline Extended for Alabama Agriculture Stabilization Program (AASP) Poultry Grower Programs

Due to statewide power outages last week as a result of Hurricane Zeta, the application deadline for the AASP Breeder, Broiler and Pullet Grower programs has been extended to Friday, November 13, 2020. Eligible grower should visit or to apply.
