Pilleteri’s Seasonings and Marinade

Charles Pilleteri Senior opened the first Pilleteri Family grocery store, Supreme Supermarket in Birmingham, Alabama in 1934. This began the Pilleteri family tradition of food production in Alabama which continues today. Inspired by working in his grandfather’s super market, Charles J. Pilleteri opened Mr. P’s Butcher shop and Deli in Bluff Park with his brother Jake in 1975. Mr. P’s built a reputation for having great steaks and homemade Italian Sausage; as well as deli sandwiches which became a favorite among the neighborhoods and local businesses in that area. There at Mr. P’s shop, Charles J. Pilleteri created the Pilleteri’s Seasonings and Marinade which are sold in most Alabama stores today.

All Pilleteri products are made with low sodium and no MSG. Mr. P’s Seasoning comes in a wide variety of flavors including Original, Cajun & Creole, Itailian, Greek, Lemon Pepper, Bold & Spicy and Mexican. Pilleteri’s Liquid Marinade is made from the same great Original Seasoning but has lemon juice, soy sauce and water added to it.

Mr. P’s Butcher Shop and Deli is located in Bluff Park on top of Shades Mountain at the intersection of Shades Crest Road and West Oxmore in Birmingham, and the hours are 8 AM to 7 PM, Monday through Saturday. The phone number is 205-823-6136.
