Inventure Foods Issues Voluntary Recall

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – April 23, 2015 – Phoenix, AR – Inventure Foods, Inc. has issued a voluntary recall of certain varieties of its Fresh Frozen™ line of frozen vegetables, as well as select varieties of its Jamba “At Home” line of smoothie kits, due to finding of Listeria monocytogenes, in its Jefferson, GA facility. Listeria is an organism that can cause infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
