In January, the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries submitted 24(c) labeling for all products containing dicamba intended to be used in conjunction with dicamba tolerant crops.

Alabama Training Schedule

Auxin herbicide best management training course

Auxin herbicide training for producers and their employees to become certified to use Dicamba technology in cotton and soybean production. Training required by the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries.

In October 2018, The Environmental Protection Agency issued new requirements for products containing Dicamba intended to be used in conjunction with 2,4-D or Dicamba tolerant crops. The label requires specific mandatory training and wind speed restrictions not to exceed 10 miles per hour and will require special training in 2021 for new Auxin herbicides applied on Dicamba-tolerant cotton.

If you received training last year you still have to train this year. Due to the requirements by EPA previous trainings are on valid for 1 year. Furthermore, purchasers of these products must have a commercial or private applicators permit in conjunction with training.

The training is intended to assist applicators with reducing incidents of herbicide drift to susceptible crops, technical applications methods, tank cleanout, and information about new chemistries. The certified applicator and person responsible for the applications of these products on cotton and soybeans in crop must receive this training. If you are spraying enlist duo you do not have to attend a training.

Registration is $15.00. To register for training, click here.
