ADAI Issues Notice of Intent to Suspend Hansen-Mueller Co. Grain Dealer License

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries (ADAI) Commissioner Rick Pate has issued a formal notice of intent to suspend Hansen-Mueller Co.’s grain dealer license after the company failed to pay Alabama producers for grain delivered on its behalf. Citrus Canker Detected in Two Alabama Counties

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Citrus canker, a federal and state regulated plant disease, has been detected in Baldwin and Mobile Counties. As required by federal law, the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries (ADAI) has established a citrus canker quarantine for the two counties.

Specialty Crop Block Grant Program Projects Announced

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - USDA has awarded the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries (ADAI) $519,000 to fund projects that strengthen Alabama’s specialty crop industry through the Specialty Crop Block Grant Program (SCBGP). USDA Designates 25 Alabama Counties as Primary Natural Disaster Areas

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Alabama Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries Rick Pate announced that USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins has designated 25 Alabama counties as primary natural disaster areas due to loss caused by excessive rainfall from May 1 through June 30, 2025.
